Three day tour in the heart of Emilia, far away from the noise of town life and highway traffic is pleasure for visitors to walk or ride along the banks of the longest Italian river, to discover an area rich of history, food traditions of excellent where the Po is not the only an important waterway for trade but the essential element for the enviroment.

THE ROUTE

First day:
BOLOGNA, departure
SORBARA, visit to a vinegar factory and tasting of the local food
BORETTO, visit to the river port
COLORNO, visit to the Royal Palace

Second day:
ZIBELLO, located along the Culatello road (a type of cured ham) and the Po bank
BUSSETO & RONCOLE VERDI, visit to Verdi's house

Third day:
SORAGNA, visit to the Royal Palace and Parmigiano Reggiano museum and tasting of the famous cheese
FONTANELLATO, it's one of the most famous villages of the flat land, enriched by the presence of the Sanvitale family since the end of the 1300s, who left the most significant trace with the castle in the center of the village.
CASTELFRANCO EMILIA, visit to the village and stop for an aperitive
BOLOGNA, return
